    Is no news good news?

    Hello everyone. I just registered here but have been lurking for a while. I want to thank all of you for the info I've gotten from you thus far.

    I have a question which has been probably answered a million times, but I can't find it while browsing the forums.

    My wife and I filed Ch. 7 on Aug 11. We had our 341 on Sep. 18. It went quickly and smoothly, the trustee pretty much asked us only the questions we expected, no surprises. No creditors showed up.

    Today is November 21, over sixty days since the 341. I haven't heard a thing from my attorney or from the court. I haven't gone into Pacer at all.

    Is no news good news at this point? Or should I be worried?

    Yep, no news is good news. You would have received anything related to your BK by mail, so you should haven't any worries at this point and your discharge should arrive by mail within the week ahead.

    Chapter 7 filed - 10/12/2005 - Asset
    Discharged - 02/16/2006
    Case Closed - 11/08/2007

      You could call the Clerk's office and ask about the discharge. I did and within 2 hours it was filed.
