Is it illegal to sell assets or personal belongings (jewlery, car, bikes, furniture - ect) before bk?

What if one sells to pay bills in the hopes of warding off bk?

What are the ramifications?

It is not illegal...especially if the items you are selliing are misc. personal goods.

The only time you run into issues if you sell any single item worth more than $600, but sell it for much less than it is worth.
