Exemptions

Are exemtions per person or per filing (if my spouse and I are filing jointly) and are there exemptions for the childrens, or other adults living in the households, items?

That depends on your states exemption laws, usually its per person, but it depends on the type of exemption.

For example, if you only have one Car, and your states exemption is $3500, some states do would not let you double it (i.e. claim a $7000 exemption), but some states do, it just depends.
