tax question...

I was discharged at the end of December and next week I am sure my husband & I will both be getting our tax info & I will start doing our taxes online. My question is... will I have to pay taxes on the money that was discharged ( I filed chapter 7 alone ). If so, I can almost guarantee that I will be paying in this year. We usually get back over $4,000, and we have so many repairs to make around the house and so I really want this refund.

Were you the only account holder on the debts discharged?

Yes I was the only one whose debts were discharged and they were all in my name. So you are saying that I wont even have to list this on my taxes???? Oh man, I am really hoping so!!
