I have been getting my reports fixed and it was totally free, thought I'd share the info... Just in case anyone else is interested.
1. Free Credit Reports - not only from annualcreditreport.com but from each credit bureau itself. There are several criteria you can meet.
a. you were declined for insurance, credit, etc.
b. you are unemployed and looking for work
c. you are a senior citizen
d. you receive social assistance such as food stamps, medicaid,
etc.
e. there are others, you'll have to look at the link ;)

2. You can get your credit score from MyFico.com for free - actually, it's the score watch - for 30 days. Get yourself a visa gift card from a bank. It's very simple, use the gift card to get your free trial and then cancel by phone, mail, or by the website. It gives you the contact information so you won't have any trouble canceling. If you have a credit card, you don't need the visa gift card but for those of us who are still unnerved by the thought of a credit card, this is a great card to have.
(Did I mention the card is only about $5 plus the balance you put on it? They aren't re-loadable but come in handy for free deals like myfico score).
