Afraid to turn in Vehicle?

Hello Again, I have said before that I want to turn in my truck, However I just cant seem to pull the trigger, every time I lift the phone fear comes over me!

I am wondering if they will pressure me to keep it?
Give me a general hard time?
What happens to the registration?
What about the cap I put on it?

Just how easy is it to turn this thing in?

Also how long before they repo if I just stop making payments?

I dont want a long drawn out hassle It just seems everytime the payment comes do I just pay it and say I will do it next month...Help me get the courage to do this! Its intimidating! Thanks

Can't answer all of your questions but know how you feel.
We voluntarily surrendered a truck a little over 1 year ago and are in a Chapt 13, but did it after confirmation.

I know after several missed payments, when the bank called, my husband said they were VERY nice about it all. The didn't give him a hard time, but just asked some questions about where the truck was located, etc...

We had a plow on the truck which was not on the bill of sale. We removed it. If you put a cap on this truck, don't let the bank have it........remove it before they reposess.

It was kind of comical in that the guy that came to reposess was local, and turns out we knew him. He felt so uncomfortable, as did we. He said when he saw our names on the repo order, he had been really dreading coming to pick up the truck.

It really was much more uneventful than we had anticipated, and we got to kiss the $350 payment goodbye, which was nice!!!!!

It will be fine, I'm sure. Most of the time the worrying and dread about these things is much worse than the actual event itself.

yes my bank is nice aswell didnt take it personally at all .. he simply said sign a paper and they will come get it...
