Anyone with a MOBILE HOME better check their title and liens before they file bankruptcy.
As most of you know my "simple Chapter 7" turned into a nightmare at the 341 meeting when the Trustee took my doublewide home for an "unperfected title".
Thanks to the mortgage co/title co I lost my home/land.
They 'FORGOT' to record my title and take their lien against it at closing.
The trustee found it and took my home for resell.
Don't depend on your lawyer to check liens - cause mine sure didn't. I feel he should have for what he was paid....
The only way to get my home back is to buy it back at "fair market value" all over again accept this time - CASH.................
Its been a year fighting in court with the trustee and the bank, but THANKS TO A FRIEND - I may be getting my home back. He has offered to purchase it as an investment and then sell it back to me in the future.
I still lost a 7 year $80,000 investment in the process. Years of improvements, downpayment, and monthly payments.
SO PLEASE - check your liens.......make sure their recorded correctly. Before you file..........
Believe me when I say I about had a STROKE at the 341 meeting and so did my lawyer.
Mine was a case of "lender negligence" thru no fault of my own.
But it made no difference, my home was taken.
SO CHECK THOSE LIENS AND ALL YOUR PAPERWORK - BEFORE YOU FILE....
SAVE YOURSELF A "LOT OF GRIEF"
