We've been delaying filing while we waited to save up for attorneys fees and on some other things we needed to wait for.
Anyway, our last payments on any of our unsecureds were in June.
We are confortably under the median (by about 6000) and everything looks good for a simple no asset 7. We retained our lawyer and turned everything in to him the week before Christmas. We were told it would take 3-4 weeks for everything to be ready to file. Should be close to anyday now.
Everything seemed set. Now, I haven;t worked in several years, but last week my brother-in-law who does freelance design work and is needing some occasional help offered to let me in on handling his overflow. It'll be hit and miss as his projects come in and he needs some extra help. No guarantees as to how much work it could be. But the current project I've been given has been 30 hours so far this week and could easily be another 10-20. At 35/hr it's a good little chunk of change.
What does this do to our filing? Now technically I'm a subcontractor and I need to bill him to be paid. And like I said, there are no guarantees I'll ever see another bit of work out of this. (Though it's entirely possible I could, too.) Do I need to ammend my filing? I don't see how I could really project an amount from this looking forward. And whqt about the current job I'm doing? Do I just wait to bill him till after filing? or after our 341?
Not sure what to do.
