Getting rid of rental and keeping primary home in chapter 7

I am going to surrender the rental home that i own in a chapter 7 bk as well as other debts.. my question is as long as i am current is there anyway that i could lose the home that i am living in currently? i live in michigan if that helps

motox - I am in the very same situation but live in MN. Will be filing CH7 shortly, and included my rental home in the bankruptcy. I am letting the rental property go and keeping the primary residence. In fact my rental property will be going up as a Sheriff Sale 1/31/08.

Here is my 2 cents motox - the mortgage lenders need a forclosure like they need a root canal. Aint gonna happen - that is - in the Bankruptcy filing you intend to keep the property.

Again not sure with Michigan but the way the home markets are going - I don't think you will have much of a problem especially being current.
