What is GOING ON? Home SOLD 2 times in one day!

Just checked public records - Home sold 2 times in one day!

We are not yet in foreclosure (we have not been able to pay our mortgage since last july and we have already moved out into a rental)

I have checked with the county clerk recorders office and is seems as if our current loan servicer (homeQ) sold the loan to another company and then from that company to another all in one day!

My only explanation for this is that loan servicers work like credit cards... If they see that a customer has not paid their loan in some time, they re-sell the loan at a discount to another company and so on.....(at a discount) - and then that new company whether a servicer or loan company would come after me....

So essentially our original loan servicer is now not our servicer now because they sold the note to another company (at a discount)???

the company it is with now is called.....MORTGAGE ELECTRONIC REGISTRATION SYSTEMS INC or MERS...

anyone have any ideas???? maybe MERS specializes in foreclosures and they are getting ready to foreclose??

apparently this is standard our house we gave the keys over to the rep who knocked and showed us papers of them owning which was in a form of a eviction notice. well almost 1 yr later LOL our name is still on the deed and another company owns it. so right now I have the same house forclosed on three times by three different companies and all report it to the cra's now i am fighting this because the house was included in BK filed 5-2006 this all took place in 2007
