my FICO went UP

I knew it was likely, but I'm a little surprised by how much. It was 431 before filing, and after filing (pre 341) it's 522. Here's hoping it keeps going up. I'm aiming for 650 by the time we are 1 year out.

I have to admit that after filing my ch 7 bankruptcy my score started to increase very rapidly as well. I'd say within 2 years I had taken my score from the low 500's to the mid to high 600's. Unfortunately with the bankruptcy still so recent no one would lend to me without charging a rediculously high interest rate. As far as a mortgage goes most companies want atleast 10% down. Another year or two though and things should start to get better. We all have to pay for our mistakes and the best thing we can do is to learn from them. I know I've learned a lesson from my financial decissions in the past.
