    Pacer Account question

I have not filed yet. If I open a pacer acct, I need to open it with my debit card. it will show in my checking acount. Will Trustee say, what the heck are these charges, what were you doing in pacer?????
I am NOT an attorney, anything I say here is not a legal advice.

Pacer only charges once every quarter and only after you have racked up $10.00 in fees. At 8 cents per page, it could take a while unless you run lots of big searches or read lots of case files.

I doubt you will have anything to worry about

First of all, the Trustee is not likely to be looking at every little expense, secondly Pacer doesn't charge until months later, and thirdly you are entitled to spend x amount on "Miscellaneous" expenses.

You're worrying too much. Unless you have a very shakey case, over the median, lots of assets, etc., the trustee is never going to look at your checking account. Even if you were audited I doubt they would look that closely at every little charge. But even so, they wouldn't really care.

You can open a Pacer acct without a debit card. They mail you login info and then they bill you after you've reached $10.

As others have said, you can do it online and get the account information by mail without using a debit card and the billing is months later or not at all depending on your usage. If you sign up for it now, the soonest you could get a bill would be the beginning of April, and that is only if you rack up more than $10 in fees. The trustee wouldn't mind it as it is a court cost for research, but if for some reason (i.e, objections on recent transactions) you try to say that you weren't considering bk, PACER account activity might become relevant to them. Not saying this happens, but may me possible.
