credit cards now going to collections

alright chase has now decided after i havent paid in like 5-6 mos they are now going to write off the debt and list it as bad debt something like that i got a letter in the mail, saying how i cant get stuff if this happens.

well i wanted to know, most of my debt have been going to collections does this effect my bk when i file?

who do i put down the bank or the collection agency when i file?

Put down anyone and everyone that has ever sent you a bill that you haven't paid in full and they agree it is paid in full. I had some that had gone to as many as 8 collection agencies, EVERY one was listed on mine. This informs them that they have to stop trying to collect, and can't transfer it any more. It also helps keep it from popping back up in the future.

What I did was:
ABC Bank /ABC Collection agency, etc.
Listed the address of the bank - and address of collection agency.
They both received the notice

It does not affect your bankruptcy at all. List the original creditor and any and all collection agencies that have contacted you when you file.
