    Discharge to closing question

I just have a question that i wonder if someone could help me with. I went through a Chapter 7 here in Florida. We had some assets (about 2500.00 over the limit) and our small business which had been closed. There was one depo with the Trustee. He tried to get money out of us (5000.00 over six mos., why would I have filed Chapter 7?). The morning of our hearing for the "Motion to Compel" the Trustee tried to wangle cash we don't have. I offered 100.00 per month for six months plus my tax return (I extended until 9/15/04). When called the Trustee abandoned all interest in our estate. I have the Trustee's report of abandonment as there was insufficient value to take our goods.

I recieved my discharge that day. That was in 3/04. To date my case has not closed. I still owe my Attorney 350.00, I must say this man did a great job. We have heard nothing from the Court or Trustee in any way. My Attorney says sometimes the Trustee takes awhile to close (he did spend $$$ on the depo).

As much as I trust my Lawyer (I do) I wonder if he could be sitting on the papers until i finish paying. Or is the trustee waiting to see my Tax Return somehow (perhaps online). it will be small and anything less than 5k is not worth his time I'm told. Does anyone have any insight on what would take so long to close. I do not want my lawyer to call the Trustee!

We are recovering slowly as my wife works and I have my regular job of 22 years which pays very well.
