    Citi Bank Troubles

This article makes it sound like Citi is in real trouble financially . Will this make it easier to negotiate a CC debt or make them more desperate in trying to get every penny owed to them???

Easier to negotiate a CC debt?? Keep on dreaming. What these bums will be doing is to become more aggressive in collecting, hounding folks day/night, upping fees left and right, and possibly running into courts to get judgments sooner than they normally did. They'll be on the same level as scumbag collection agencies.

maybe - but also if they are in such trouble that will mean job cuts & streamlining. It costs money to go after people. They will probably focus on people they think have assets.

citibank generally sells the debt real quick to a scavenger company especially in a bk situation.

I have 3 accounts with Citi, was never late. The first time I was late they didn't think twice about upping the %.
