I haven't checked my FICO score in a while and I just had my 341 meeting. Is it worth the cost to get my score so I can compare after discharge? I did get all my credit reports prior to filing to make sure I included all creditors but I didn't get my score. I know that the last time I checked my score a year or more ago it was LOW. It really has no where to go but up.
Haven't filed yet. Scores are below after stopping payments to creditors...
Discharged November 2008 100 days after filing no-asset Chapter 7. We intended to let a two-year-old vehicle go back to the bank and reaffirm an inexpensive ten-year-old SUV and our home mortgage. In the end we surrendered ALL of our vehicles and reaffirmed NOTHING. We'll "ride through" our mortgage after the court ruled it an undue hardship.
Be sure to check your credit reports after discharge
Working as a loan officer at a credit union, I can tell you that acounts that were included in bankruptcy are almost NEVER reported properly after discharge. Be sure to get copies from all 3 bureaus, and dispute any credit lines that do not show as "included in bankruptcy". It DOES make a difference in your score.
04/03/2008- Filed for BK CH7-Middle District of FL 04/04/2008- Found out I have the more "laid back" trustee- the other one is a real bear, I hear. Yay! 05/06/2008- 341 meeting held
Keebler, where are you getting your scores from (or from what scource)? That is nifty information to have it month by month like that.
I got it through Costco and the price was reasonable considering what we're going through. I get a report and score every month.
