payroll didn't pay my monthly payment to trustee

I thought that having my payments directly withdrawn from my paychecks would make life easier. Then I wouldn't have to worry about getting my payment to the trustee on time. But....

I got a letter from my attorney and trustee saying that my case may be dismissed due to a balance of $500. I have no idea why that would happen.

So I faxed a letter to my lawyer and asked the payroll manager if for some reason my paycheck wasn't debited. She told me that they had an issue last week and couldn't send the payment. She then told me that it will be mailed this week.

So now what do I do? My lawyer won't call back. And I've signed up for Pacer, but cannot figure out if it allows you to view the dates that your payments were applied BEFORE you initially sign up for an account. Am I doing something wrong? Where would I find out when my payments cleared and how many creditors filed? I want to know if I owe less than we figured up before the meeting of the creditors (none showed).

Everything has been fine with the bankruptcy process, but this is the first letter I've gotten saying that my case may be dismissed! So now I'm worried.

    Thanks in advance for listening.

Regarding PACER, pacer does not show payment information.

For payments, you need to check https://www.13datacenter.com/index.asp (assuming your trustee uses that site (some don't).

If you only missed one payment, and the payment is going to be sent soon, I would'nt worry about it too much.

I agree with HHM. I wouldn't worry too much, especially if they send it when they said they would. The question is, did your paystub reflect the amount taken out or not? If it didn't, you should have brought that to your payroll department's attention right away. I check mine every pay period to make sure it's taken out and then the following week, I check the 13datacenter to make sure it was applied (it usually takes 7-10 days to post on there). It's just a precaution I take.

Oh yeah! I've checked my paycheck everytime to make sure the amount is drafted. Believe me, I would notice the extra money if they forgot to draft it.

        I'll try the ch13datacenter.

Thanks guys!!! You were so fast!

Your trustee must be extra jumpy.
Mine was debited, and a couple of different times, it didn't show up, and didn't show up on the trustee website. I freaked and called the trustee office the first time. I was told that since it was direct debit from pay, they didn't worry a whole lot unless it was a long time.
Another time, the person who handles that( yeah, only one person at my HR dept handles garnishements- we have over 500 employees) was out of town for 2 weeks, so it got behind.
