    CreditKeeper Canceling Membership?

Right after our discharge (2/29), I signed my wife and I up for CreditKeeper.com monitoring service. The first month is free, then $9.95/each per month automatically billed to our debit card.

You can pull your credit reports from all three CRAs once per month and get your FAKO scores from all three.

Today I go to log on, and it says our memberships has been canceled (both accounts).

I signed us back up under the one month free promo again, and it worked, but it made me make new U/N & P/W.....

Anyone ever had this happen to them?

I just logged into my account and it's working fine. Did the credit card that you have tied to the account expire or get cancelled?

Nope. Used the same card to open new accounts.

But I guess the 'bonus' is I get another month free as I had to open new accounts.

      Weird.

        Creditkeeper

To be honest, I think 9.95 is a lot to pay, especially when the "current" report is actually two months behind. Anyone else experiencing that from them. My March 08 report only shows history til 1/08.

It is normal for reports to lag a month or two. Creditors don't always report regularly, but when they do, they will "catch up". Personally, I canceled creditkeeper because I want a service that I can pull a new report whenever I want, not just once a month.

Whch one would be a good service to pull your report whenever you want? How much does it cost monthly?

The first time I signed up for creditkeeper, my intent was to keep it just long enough to clean up our credit reports.

The first 30 days were free, then THEY canceled it.

So I rejoined and got an additional 30 days free.

I am almost done cleaning up the reports, so I won't have to pay anything.

Yes, but things change. I started disputing a few months ago. I'd get an account changed to be correct, only to have it changed again by the creditor 2 months later. I also have gotten alerts from the credit monitoring company about "dispute results" on accounts that I have not disputed. TransUnion just sent me a letter, giving me the dispute results...Equifax has a couple of my accounts changed/updated...incorrectly...which I have now had to dispute.

Bottom line, things are constantly changing...
