    Special Guest at my 341!

I was pleasantly surprised (sarcasm) to have a special guest at my 341! It turns out the US Trustee took enough interest in my case to show up for my 341. She asked quite a few questions in addition to the regular trustees. Overall I think things went well. She did spend a long time going over the bank statements I was asked to bring with me.

BTW, do Dental expenses count as medical expenses? I hope so at this point.

WOW - was this US Trustee someone learning the field and asked to be there? I hope they are not assuming to list your filing as abuse.

Watch Pacer and keep in contact with your attorney!!

    Good luck

Yes, dental expenses count as medical expenses.

Did the US trustee indicate what made her take an interest in your case and decide to attend your 341?
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

My lawyer said the US Trustee was concerned with my high medical expenses and was there to ask questions regarding that.

She only participated in my case from the 10 I saw. Doh.

I know reason why. She wanted to examine closely if that is a real 24K "gold" denture or not!?... well... since dollars go down, gold goes up ya know!?... . way to hide/earn your assets.

Got this from my lawyer who got it from the US Trustee

"a determination has been made not to pursue this case further as a potential 707(b)(2). " and I no longer needed to provide the documentation that they asked for yesterday.

I assume this is a pretty decent sized win?

Thanks for all the good wishes.

Got another email from my lawyer and now the other Trustee is filing a no distribution report today. Also sounds like good news.
