You ought to use hummingbird for the financial education part, as they only charge $19 for the certificate you get for taking the course; the course is free, however, if you are income eligible it is completely free, and that goes for the first credit counseling class we are required to take as well. I used hummingbird and I didn't have to pay anything.
Their website is hummingbird.org and they are allowed in all 50 states.

Don't you have to take the class from the same service you took the pre filing course?
DB
Nope! I used greenpath for my first class and hummingbird for my 2nd. You can use ANY place that is allowed in your state.
There is NO requirement in any state that you must you the same place for both courses. In fact after I filed I got tons of junk snail mail asking me to use them for my 2nd class.

Ours in included with our attorneys fee. I am taking it now sort of.
Do me and my husband have to take it seperatly???
I believe the first class, if you do it over the phone and have a speaker phone that you can do it as the same time for separate fees (unless you use hummingbird which is free as long as your income qualifies you).
For the 2nd course I heard you had to each do it separately.
