What is the time frame for inheritances? I recieved an 8000 inheritance 6 months ago and did pay any cc debts how will this look to trustee? Thanks for the input.

They will probably consider the inheritance as part of your income. If you have spent the money, and can show where it went, then I don't think it can be an issue. What's spent is spent, right? If you still have a good portion of that money, it will probably be taken. You aren't supposed to have a whole lot of disposable cash when you file BK. That's why you are filing BK, because you have no money. Here in Florida, you are only allowed to have twenty bucks in your account on the day you file. Anything above that amount can be taken. If your inheritance is gone, then it is gone. If you used it to pay some of your living expenses, then that should be fine. Either way, if the trustee knows you got 8 grand, they will probably want to know where it went, if not to pay credit card bills.
