stimulus check question?

My wife and I filed bk on April 15th but the meeting for the creditors is not until June 2nd. We get our stimulus check on May 16th.

So my question is if I use my stimulus check to pay for bills fixing up the house and things of that nature before June 2nd. Can they still try and collect on it? I mean you cannot bleed a turnip right?

Or can they even take the stimulus checks since we already filed? I guess it is a grey area.....
