I disputed some of the errors on my husband's credit report...TransUnion. I got a letter today telling me the results of the disputes. TransUnion deleted 7 of his derogatory accounts...they were all accounts that were part of our bk. The problem is...they deleted about 4 of our 'satisfactory paid' accounts too!! Two of the accounts are old accounts...paid off years ago, but were closed in good standing. The 2 other accounts are current credit card accounts that I have added him to as an authorized user. Those accounts are a year old and in good standing too. I think that the current (open) credit cards will show up again on his report once TransUnion updates next month...I hope.
I have no idea why they investigated those good accounts! We did not ask them to... While I'm glad the derogatory accounts are gone, can I "dispute" the good accounts that they deleted seemingly for no reason? Can I ask that those accounts be put back on? Or, should I just be quiet and be thankful that the bad 7 accounts are gone?
