Didn't go too bad. About a 3 minute interview. I answered 'Yes sir' or 'No sir'.
No questions about the stimulus return of any kind.
Only thing he asked that I had to answer more detail to was my income tax. I got back about $3700. I had a detailed estimate of where I spent it and he asked if I had been earning income during that period of time. I froze a little, not expecting that, but told him yes I was working and I estimated I got about $2500 during the time that $3700 was spent. I bought no luxury items, no lending of any money, and paid no creditor off. I explained that it went towards household items..price of gasoline has me probably spending $70 to fill my tank, I have a cat that costs me about $100 a month in meds/food/litter, it's my daughter's graduation year and there's expense with that, I started a new job and had no clothes.......but NO money was given for luxury of any kind. My attorney was paid for his expenses, I paid rent..it all went for living expenses. I felt a little silly when I mentioned my cat, but hey - she's still an expense.
Overall, good though. No creditors showed up and he was very nice about the whole deal. I sure hope he doesn't think I should be paying back some income tax for I don't have it. I was behind on all utilities and rent..had my car fixed....I can guarantee with all certainty nothing luxurious was bought.
So - now I wait. My attorney was very excited after and told me I was in the clear - told me to wait the 60 days out and things looked great.
That hurdle is over with. And I just may be able to keep my stimulus return. No letters in the mail and trustee sure never mentioned it so I guess it's okay.
