Hello~

I have a few payday loans out there, that I have not paid on, and plan on including them in my BK.

I have not hired an attorney yet, but plan to next week.
I cannot file until the beginning of July, cause of the 90 day rule since I made a charge.

So my question is....
Once I hire an attorney (but have not filed), will that stop them from sending me to small claims court and/or garnishing my wages?
Also, once I hire an attorney, will that stop them from calling my cell and work?

Hiring an attorney will NOT stop them from taking you to court.

But yes, when you inform them that you have an attorney, they are supposed to stop calling. Also, you can send them a cease and desist letter.

Can you tell me what a cease and desist letter is? What will that do?
