Chapter 7 and our house

My husband and I are looking at filing Chapter 7 and including our house and letting it go. It pains us greatly to have to do this. We can't seem to find a solution to keeping the house. Two years ago we took out a 125% loan thru a finance company to try and take care of our other financial problems. It didn't work and now we're at the end of our rope. Does anyone have alternate idea?

Have you considered chapter 13 instead of 7? You can keep the house with a 13.

Depending on the amount of equity you have in your house you can file a 7 and still keep your house and cars if you're current with thier payments.
