    Stimulus Check

We went to our attorney today to try and file bankruptcy, we completely qualify for it... and more. We have not used our credit cards in a while, and when we did it was for something small, like groceries. Mainly because the cards are close to maxed out, theres little left to fit on them.

We should be getting our stimulus check soon, and I am curious how this is going to pan out... we have very little money in our account, and we have $1500 coming... the lawyer cost $1500, we want to give this straight to him, BUT, it will be direct deposited... and that will show on my look-back report... but because this is an OBVIOUS one time thing is there any way to get them to overlook that money being there and then gone... the lawyer will know where it is...his pocket!

We would wait to file, but the longer we wait, the longer I have to stay here in Michigan while my husband waits patiently in Texas for me and his daughter to join him.

    Any help or input appreciated...

That's ok. We did the same thing with our tax refund check. It deposited on the day after we spoke with our attorney, we had written him a post dated check letting him know as soon as it was in our acct. we would let him know and he could cash it. He told us we would be fine to use our tax check to file. That is considered a responsible expense and lots of people do the same thing.
