    Question regarding 722 redemption

My attorney filed my 722 redemption with the courts 3 weeks ago and if my finance company doesn't object ( ? ) by Monday I will get the car redeemed for the appraised value...Now would you make the May payment to the original creditor?

Edited to add this might not be relevant I just saw this on Pacer

Honestly, I am not sure of the answer. You really need to get in touch with your attorney.

The most conservative advice would be to go ahead and make the payment. But at the same time, since you are redeeming the car, I would hate to see good money flow out the door when you are about to, essentially, pay it off. (granted, for less than the note).

I wouldn't worry too much about an objection to the redemption, short of outright fraud, if the transaction qualifies for redemption under the BK code, there is not much the original finance company can do.

chrysler has probably gotten notice that you are redeeming with 722. They probably want to work out the FMV of the car so they don't lose too much. You should be ok. You will just be discharging the negative equity in the car. Chrysler's lose, your gain
