Car Loan

I will soon be filing Ch.13 and will most like let my car payment go as its is almost $800/month. Obviously with the shape my credit is in at the current time I will not be able to qualify for a car loan. If I have a family member take a loan for a car and I make the payment would this be included in my "secured debts" or would there at least be an allowance made for me to have transportation. Thanks!

you haven't filed yet, correct? I know it is tough to "explain" your plans to a lender about the 800 car but my advice would be, if not filed yet, to go get your car if you can. If not, then I would seek the advice of an attorney before I put someone in a position to borrow money for you and then find out you can't include the payments as an expense in your chapter 13.
