Well, my wife and I had our 341 hearing on Wednesday... We both think it went well, but when we first got there, the trustee kinda scared us. He seemed to have absolutely no sense of humor, and was relentlessly grilling people ahead of us.
When it was out turn, we answered his questions, were straightforward and honest with him, and he declared us no assets, and sent us on our way. We were able to keep our stimulus check, but were advised to turn our cars in to our lender within 2 weeks...
Here's the weird part. Our cars are both financed through GMAC, and they're both being surrendered... I bought a new car (well, new to me) today, and just for verification, I asked to see the actual approval fax... I was approved by GMAC, and at a better rate than I had on my first car... $0 down, up to 72 months. Of course, I put money down, anyway, and I'm only financing for 60 months... Is that normal, though?
