Hello everyone,
I've been lurking here for a month or so ... I've learned SO much from this forum, so thank you all!
I just wanted to share my experience from my 341 today. We were the last people called, so we were able to listen in on a bunch of meetings. The trustee was awesome. I never thought I would use that word to describe a trustee, but he was so nice and laid-back, and even joked around a lot. So that helped put us at ease big-time.
When it was our turn, the only thing he asked about was how I calculated my income (I'm self-employed). There was a problem with how our $880 monthly payment was calculated, so our lawyer has to submit an amended payment plan. (Sorry if my terminology is wrong.) Other than that, it went pretty smoothly.
Just wanted to give anyone who is nervous about their 341 some encouragement ... not all trustees are ball-busters. This guy genuinely seemed to have the best interest of the debtors in mind. Oh, and he didn't ask anyone about the stimulus rebate, and my lawyer says we can keep it.
