Trustee payment Question
Hello all, I have a qiute question about our trustee payment. See here we go. I was in the hospital all most this whole month. I had surgery and have been very very sick bascial I almost past away a few times. Wekk in the my hospital stay my husband had taken over paying the our bills this month. He did a great job but .... I do not think he paid the trustee. See we are on a self pay because if my husband work finds out about the chapter 13 he WILL lost Job.... So know what do I do? Do I call our laywer and ask them what to do or try to make it up next pay day which is next month? What to do I do? PLease give me any import. Thanks so much all.

send in what you can. Usually it takes 2 payments missed to cause the trustee to react so I would definitely start sending in as much as I could when I could to get it caught up. Don't miss the next one though. Hope you get better soon. -
Immediately call your attorney and advise him of the missed payment and why. I hope you feel better soon!_________________________________________

What Flamingo said. DO NOT let Monday pass without contacting your lawyer. If you didn't have a lawyer, contact the trustee. Most are understanding that S happens, but only if they are informed. I would not just send in partial payments without the trustee's OK to do so.

I hope you have some medical receipts to send along.
I know when you are sick you are sick and in many cases, what should get done doesn't get done.

Thank you all...I have called my lawyer twice and not one phone call back from them. I was told NOT TO EVER to contact my trustee to always go through my lawyer. I do have the insurance and hospital and O my goodness about 45,000.00 in un cover medical bills know.....Ya right back in to debt NOT... Hopefully they get back to me soon. Thanks again.Comment

i've been struggling with payments but getting them in late. I have advised my attny of our situation and they said usually 30 days is the window for missed payments. Maybe that varies from trustee to trustee, so now i'm curious what is the norm - does it vary from trustee to trustee? One of the posts above says after 2 missed? Don't get me wrong -- not that I want to or plan to miss -- I just sent in more funds to mine today!!re-filed sept '07.... here we go again!Comment
