    Credit Score

I was discharged 6/29/05 and the same week I checked my credit score and credit report. My score was 512. There were two on there that didnt report included in bankruptcy so I disputed them online and now today my score is 592. Thats with Equifax. Experian was 586. The disputed ones now read included in bankruptcy with zero balances. Also I have a second mortgage and I signed a reaffirmation agreement and on the credit report its not listed as included in bankruptcy but says current and never late which is good I know but I thought even though you listed them in your petition that they would show included in BK on your credit report. Im glad it didnt that way it will show I am paying on time and hopefully help my credit score go up. I signed up for the Equifax and they alert you everytime something changes on your report which I think is worth the $7.95.

    Just and FYI...

The reason your Mortage shows as "paid as agreed" is because you did a reaffirmation agreement.

If you hadn't signed a reaffirmation agreement, the mortgage would say, "included in Bankruptcy"

Glad to hear your score is on the way up (see bankruptcy is not the end of the world, its a new start )

It is a new start and I am so glad now that we did do it. After years of contemplating it and getting further into debt we finally decided we had to. Wish we wouldve done it sooner but felt so terrible and guilty. But now we are actually accumulating a savings and we havent had that in years. We really have no desire to get any credit because having the $1000 in our account now and its growing feels a heck of a lot better than having a credit card. So to everyone out there be patience and once you are discharged you will feel such relief.
