    Relocating, just filed, HELP!

We have a meeting with our attorney next week about this, but I'm wondering if anyone has any advice or suggestions on how we can make this easier? Have you done this before??

We will have to either sell or rent our current home and forget trying to buy a new home. With the market the way it is, our home could sit for a long time without a sale. We'd have to rent for sure and that is not so exciting for us, but I guess there are worse things. We'll be in the same state, just a completely different part, about a 6 hour drive away from where we live now.

    THanks in Advance

I am about 6 months ahead of you, but moved out of state. We are renting a home here and have dropped the price of our house $70K from the price of its last appraisal. Still no action!! We tapped out every resource we had to try to cover everything, but the money vaporized.

If there's any chance you might file Ch. 7 in the future and your income is above median, I would recommend not renting out your home as any money you receive will count against you on the means test.

Renting is underrated! We live in a new home just as nice as our old home and are paying much less each month. There are so many nice homes up for rent now because of the market. I don't think I'll ever want the burden of a mortgage again.
