Meeting this thursday, few advices please

Ok so the meeting is this thursday. We have sent all the information and we did our own paperwork, we are sure everything was correct and we hope so.

Ive been reading here about the questions and what the meeting is all about but we are still a little bit nervous.

Im sure the general answers they might ask we will answer them naturally, but I dont have a job right now, only my wife, how should I handle that when they ask me that?

And also, I had a business name registered under my name, the business never ever took off or made money so we unregistered the name, is that going to make them try and get more information about my situation?

during my 341 the trustee was hard on me i think because i had no attorney but my advice is to be calm and answer all the questions as honestly as possible being sworn in kind of scared me just remain calm.

How can they be tough if I have all the documents required, is the trustee still going to try to get me to repay or like what should I be ready for

Will they even ask how did I get approved for credit cards and car loans? because Im concerned that in some applications we put that our income was higher than what it actually was, so if they ask me why or how, what to say?

i know you can go to the local soc security office to apply and they can give you a form showing you have applied for a new social security card and hopefully the card will arrive before the hearing and you will have no worries

I had lost my FT job, and only had a PT job, and so was [still am] getting Unemployment Compensation for the FT job. 'Hub is a Computer Consultant, who works as an independent contractor, and picks up jobs as he can. He is also partially retired and has health issues and cannot work FT. There were no real questions about any of that, other than the Trustee wanted to know who drew the Unemployment.

You will do fine. Just have your two forms of ID, and as I always caution, if you and your spouse use different names, you will need a copy of your marriage license.

I was told to bring driver license, social security card, power of attorney(hubby is deployed), last counseling certificate and recent bank statement.
We have a few not so cool trustees in my area, I was assigned the cool one.

Okay for the 341:

1. SSN and Driver's License
2. Do not be Late. (It helps to be early so you can see others)
3. Do not wear any expensive jewelry (plain wedding bands nothing else)
4. Do not bring children arrange for someone to keep them if need be.
5. Do not bring electronic games, pagers, cell phones etc.
6. Dress in what you might wear to a good restaurant or to church, don't go out and buy something new to wear.

Bring whatever documentation you believe you need. For example I would go ahead and bring all the paystubs from filing to the 341 as well as bank statements. He may not ask for them, but you'll have them if they do.

Also when answering questions answer yes or no. Do not volunteer more information unless it is asked for. Answer questions truthfully when they are asked.

Got it, thanx guys, well we called yesterday to comfirm and the meeting was canceled because we didnt send 1 document, so we just sent it today to get it rescheduled

I lost mine and went to SS office to get a new one. It took 10 days to get it. They also give you a letter stating you will be getting one. It doesn't cost anything.

Even if you don't get your card 'grammy, the document stating you have reapplied for a replacement, may be satisfactory. It would not be good to forstall the meeting if you don't have your card, let the Trustee make that call. You made your best effort. A paper from SS with your number on it shows that fact. 'Hub
