    The Waiting Game

    Okay everybody....

I've checked PACER about once per week since our 341 meeting was held.

Our case still says that we are AWAITING our 341 meeting. There are no updates regarding the outcome of our meeting.

As I posted earlier, our case was changed to an asset case, and that money needs to be claimed by any creditors who seek that money from our bk estate. We also still need to turn in our re-affirmation on our van we're keeping. I've been told this shouldn't defer our discharge.

Do you think I should call the court this week and ask? Our last day for objections is today, July 6, 2008.

I'm sure I'm worrying over nothing, and I know that 60 is not always the magic number...just ask PaKettle.

Anyway...here's to day 60 and counting.........

Hang in there, TBC. Having your case changed to an asset case can slow things down inside your case, so you may have a longer wait than usual. Also right now the bk courts are being slammed with many new cases, so just keeping the electronic case files on PACER up to date is challenging.

Any time you have doubts about what's happening with your case and you have a lawyer, check with him/her to find out how your case is progressing. If you filed without a lawyer, then you can politely check with the bk court's clerk to see how your case is progressing.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
