We are filing a chapter 13. I went to the appt alone, without my husband, he actually didn't even know I went, I just wanted to hear it all by myself the first time. Have ALOT of CC debt, and expenses in general. We make more than the median income in CA, I am concerned about our payment. I asked the atty and he said there are too many variables to figure it out yesterday, said he would know once he got our packet back. We are keeping the house, although we owe about 60K more than we could get for it. But we live on a ranch with livestock, bees etc. And moving would be SO traumatic. We're keeping the 2 cars and just figuring out the CC debt. Atty says once we bring the packet back (2nd meeting) the 341 meeting will be about 4 weeks from then. We haven't filed 07 taxes yet, so he said that needs to be done prior to the trustees meeting.
What a mess, really, can one get any lower? Again though, really grateful for this forum.
