CH13 Mortgage?

Is it true that if you are in CH13 you cannot get a new mortgage for 1 year? We may be moving out of state and will be selling our house in our current state and would like to put the proceeds into a new house. Not possible right away?

Have you been discharged from your Chapter 13, or are you still making payments. In either case, there is no hard and fast rule that you can't get a mortgage for one year. But, chapter 13 is still a bankruptcy which can make it difficult to get a mortgage.
