    How's this for privacy?

A man came to the door, I ignored him. I watched him go next door, and have about a 5 minute talk to the neighbor, all the while point at my house also. he then left a note on my door, a plea from ' your local friendly Countrwide field representative', for me to arrange to keep my house anyway possible. Clearly, that rep from CW was discussing my personal information, not knowing I was in clear and full view of him. What a joke.

I must say that is a different approach.

      The FC has not started.

I know the neighbor well enough that simply by watching their conversation, and her reactions, he was enlightening her to the situation. And the conversation lasted over five minutes. Whatever. I expected that it was a summons, and yet again, just another plea from a creditor to 'please pay'. Times have changed dramatically. Will I be able to stay here FOREVER for free???

Well, if you had the actual conversation and it was personal information relating to your account with them, you could have his job; but unless you approach the neighbor you won't know for sure. If you know your neighbor well enough as you state, go ask her. Unfortunately, you won't be able to stay there forever for free. Why be embarrassed about a situation that is probably out of your control? The foreclosure process is being sped up in several states and you could be out sooner than you think.
