    Aspire Visa Update

    As you all know I got an Aspire Visa card after my BK cleared. Started out with a $300.00 limit and fee of $150.00 per year. One year later:

    $1000.00 limit
    $ 100.00 fee
    $ still $6.95 per month.
    They report to all three CRA's.

    Maintaining a $200.00 balance or less all year.
    No problems whatsoever with this card.

    Other financial issues, life is VERY good right now. Boy starting College as I told you all he would, ALL CASH, ALL PAID. Bought him a 1994 Buick Century for school in excellent condition, ALL CASH. His insurance for a Florida first time driver is over $4000.00 per year (not cash, sorry). He walked into the Mobile Station near our house last Friday and the Owner (I guess) told him, you're in here alot, why don't you work here? Starts today! The same happened to my middle son, last year the lady in the card shop at the strip mall near the school came out and saw him drinking a Soda with his brothers in ROTC Uniform and gave him a job cleaning the store which he still has (4 hrs. per week, $22.00 per week, 20 and change after deductions).

    My GMC Truck which I bought new in 2001 has less than $7000.00 left to go.

    God has really poured out blessings in the last six months. Being very cautious with finances, not rich, but we are way out of the hole.

    Hopefully will be retiring at 48 in two years and returning to my beloved Tennessee. Considering working for Railroad up there or Local Government. I have already met the City manager and Police Chief so I'm working on some sort of job up there, just laying a plan this time.

        He is going to be a CPA, a great relief to me.

          Glad things are working out. Things are looking up for us also. Our case was closed today August 9. We were discharged June 29 2005. It is such a relief to have this behind us. We actually have a savings account started. Only about $1000 in it so far but it is growing each week and I have to tell you having that extra money in the bank feels a hell of a lot better than any old credit card right now. Im sure we will eventually get a credit card down the road but not anytime soon. I am very grateful for this forum and everyone in it. Not one person judges another and that is so great.
