    Question Cell Phones

Hello. I have a cell phone plan with Sprint, and always pay the bill on time. Are cell phone payments reported to the credit agencies? Thank you

To the best of my knowledge, they are.

We used to have a cell phone service with Nextel that was reasonable, we thought, until all of a sudden we had a bill for more than $500.00. We didn't pay close enough attention.

For the present, we use Boost Mobile, because we like the Direct Connect walki-talki that Nextel and Boost uses. But we budget $20.00 per month per phone. This works for us because we ONLY use the DC. If you are using your cell as your regular telephone, then this option will not work for you.

    My best~~~~

We are at&t and they don't report unless you go to collections. No utilities in my area report good payments unless it goes to collections.

...we have had Verizon for house and cell phone for years and they have always been on our credit reports. This is for cell phone, not house phone. So the answer to the OP's question is that it depends on her carrier.

I have had a cell phone since 1999 with several companies: Cingular, Verizon and now AT&T, and none have been reported on my credit report. They all pulled credit when I first got the phone/account, however.

Have you ever been late on them?

if your 2 months behind att&t will cancel you and send you right to collections, so i use a pay as you go att&t phone now and am saving tons of money, if you ask me their contract plans are very over priced

Thank you for the information everyone. Do you know if you reaffirm a car lease, do the payments still get reported to the credit agencies? Thanks

Nope. At least not more than 30 days.
