What do I do with timeshare I don't want?

I included my timeshare as unexempt but trustee didn't take it. It is not included in bankruptcy as a creditor because it is paid for. Can I just surrender it when I am discharged? It is listed in bankruptcy just not as a debt. I couldn't donate or sell it before to get rid of it and don't want to pay for yearly 800 fees anymore. It is current until Jan 2009 when 800 will be due again.

Can I just notify them that I am surrendering it? What do I do?

Have you been ruled an Asset case or No Asset? If you are an Asset case, the trustee may want you to pay for it to keep it. If that happens, you can just surrender it to the trustee. But it is also possible that the trustee will choose to abandon it.

If it survives the BK, I would just notify the company that you are surrendering it.

    Good luck

We are no asset case. We should be discharged 8/18 if no objections. I'll just let company know we are surrending it. There are no financial issues since it's paid for right?
