    BK Exemptions apply to judgements won in court....

    In other words, if what you own is covered through your state's bk exemptions, then even if you lose a lawsuit and they get a judgement, they cant come after your (nonsecured) personal property and seize it. They can file liens against it, but they cant take it. You dont even have to file bankruptcy yet. This buys more time for those who may need it to save $$ for bk or plan a bk or whatever else you may need time for



    Now as far as wage garnishment and bank levy goes, they can still do that according to what your state's laws are. Just found this out and thought I would share it.
