What does the court check? [Archive]

Hello, I have a 2 part question. I was wondering when filing for bankruptcy, specifically chapter 7, what exactly does the court look at and how far do theygo back? Do they look at your checking acount , your Tax return or what? Also if i was to file for chapter 7 in the next couple of weeks would they try to take my tax refund?
