Good Credit, Current on all bills, but really High Debt to income ratio

    Hi All,

Here's my situation, I've got excellent credit, have always and I mean always paid my bills on time, but recently moved, and lost all equity in my old home, sold my previous business and used the money to pay for my new home. In the midst of all this I started a new business and that along with the loss of equity in the old home and low monthly income as the business has also been hit by the poor economy has led me to accrue large credit card bills. I have about $175K in equity in my home and $330K in Credit card debt, my monthly income is less then $6K and my monthly minimums are $6,500 not including my home mortgage. I need help desperately and am not sure if C7 or C13 can help me? Also does anyone know any really good BK attorney's in the Orange County area? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

There are some folks on here from CA. Your best bet is to get several consultations with some attorneys (most give free initial consultations). To find a reputable attorney in your area, look in your phone book in the "State" section for your State Bar Association. Call them, state you probably need to invesetigate filing BK and have a business involved and you have no idea where to start and ask for the names of some attorneys in your area specializing in BK. Do not go to any discount or bargain legal service that advertises on TV or has the huge full page ad in the phone book. Best of luck to you....
