So the past couple of days I've been having the hopeful thought of "I can make this work with out filing" which I'm sure many of us have all gone through. After really considering everything and looking at it on paper I've decided to get back on the BK train and ride it to the end.

The questions that have been plaguing me have been about the possibility of my employer letting me go because of the BK. And the overwhelming thoughts that come before you actually file.

Sooo, long story short, I'm gonna pay my attorney the full balance due tomorrow to get the ball rolling. I hope after I file I'll find some type of relief.

I do indeed. I talked to my HR department and they said that a BK is no grounds for termination and it wont affect my ability to still be covered by a fidelity bond.

Hi OC I can relate so well to how your feeling, I think most of us can. I keep praying something will happen so I wont have to file. Now Im hoping that since I have to wait so long before I file maybe I'll get a really good settlement offer on the big 3 cc's that I owe and in about 7 more months I'll have some money to pay them off. I keep taking these rose colored glasses on and off many times a day..This is very scarey stuff were going thru, if we didnt feel something about it, we'd be robots.

Good idea speaking to them. I know that I was denied a job because they did a credit check, but since you are already employed it is a different story.

You'll be fine OC. There are many stages of emotions through this process and the one you are going through, unfortunately, can dig us into a deeper hole as we keep trying to unrealistically "work it out". I am all for working it out if its really an option, but in so many cases, it's a pipe dream and the sooner we realize what we must do, the better off we are.

I was the same way, hence my register date! I tried and tried to avoid this outcome for the past year and kept talking myself out of it. Now that I have finally committed I feel much better already!
