Wife and I decided to file for BK on October the 1st.

We have lots of complicated issues to deal with but hopefully we will be able to help others on the forum as the issues are resolved one way or the other.

Thanks, I have really worked hard at educating myself. Although I have explored every alternative I know that in the long run this is the best thing.

I have almost every type of issue that you can learn from:

I have:

• Very high debt $220,000 (unsecured)
  
• $770,000 secured
  
• A mechanics lien to deal with
  
• Very high income
  
• A lawsuit against someone for nearly $300,000 of pension money
  
• A payment to someone that the trustee MIGHT think is an insider although my attorney thinks is not an insider

• Some of my debt is business related

On the plus side, no use of credit cards or advances for nearly a year now, much less income than before, no equity in home, a large medical expense, no liquid assets at all.

We will see.
