I am starting a new job finally.Am curious how long will it take for the credit card holders to find out where I am working as I dont plan on making this months payments to them no more.my wife had quit paying on hers last month but she has no job and we got the phone on answering machine.I realize it will be double phone calls next month from here on out.reason I ask is because in this state there is a 25% wage garnishment that they will probally do.I have been current on my cards and still am at this point but cant continue paying them.with job now we can sqeek by without the added credit card payments.Banktruptcy is in the future theres no way around it.but as for now there was hefty cash advances taken late spring and wnt to put as much time as possible between till file

They can find out quickly if they want to - depends on the creditor. You are easily traceable via your SS number and also via the internet. Does your new company announce new employees in a Company publication or on a website? If your name appears and if someone Googles your name, there you are....

If its only been a month they aren't going to seek a judgment yet. Even with the economic mess we have now I doubt they'd come after you before 6 months late.
