    another Wild Card Question

In Nebraska I have a 2400 exemption on a car. Wild car is $2500. Can I use this wild card to apply to the car.

Please help me understand this more. If the car is worth say $6500, does that mean that my total exemption is $4900 on the car, and with repairs to be done I could get it lower in order to help keep my car.

I remember when I was filling out the paper work, it did say that sometimes you can use TWO exemptions on the same item. Although I can't answer your question it seems as if you want to apply both, you can. BUT, that would use up your wild card. Do you have anything else you need to apply that too?

You can use multiple exemptions for the same item.

However, make sure you have an accurate value on the car, the value you should be use is KBB trade value placing the car in poor or fair condition as the case maybe.

Get 2 or more written estimates from a mechanic on all the car problems and make sure there is no relationship between you and them so it's all real. This way you can have something to show to the trustee.

          Good luck!!
