    Don't qualify for 13.

We were going to file Ch 13 but we make too muc money-$1900/mo. We're being referred to another attny that specializes in more compicated cases, then maybe to to an attny that specilizes in debt reductions. What can I expect? Anyone with any experience or advice?

    Thanks, Janine

Are you sure you don't mean chapter 7? I've never heard of an income limit with a 13..

We live in a poor county with a low income limit-44,000 per family of 4. I dont have any more details yet, we meet with the lawyer for an explaination next week.

That is the income level for Chapter 7 or 13?? Have you already been in to see an attorney?? This is not making sense.

Agreed, that's not making any sense at all. 48k was the median income(2 adults, no kids) for Ch7 in our county...maybe they just mean you'll be at 100% payoff? That's the only thing I can think of.

Let me clarity a little. The attny told my husband that we make $1900 too much to file Ch 13 plus out expenses are too high. This makes no sense to me either altho I am new to this. Yes, we have been working with an attny since April. Hope this makes more sense.

Well, that doesn't make any sense without context. You can't make too much to file a chapter 13. A chapter 13 is a payment plan to pay back your debt. The court WANTS you to have disposible income to fund a chapter 13 payment plan.
